Why workplaces need a plan
Dengue mosquitoes breed in small amounts of clean, standing water, and they bite during the day, when people are at work. Offices, factories, schools and housing societies can all become breeding grounds without anyone noticing.
Weekly checklist
Walk your premises once a week, especially after rain, and check:
- Water coolers, AC trays and drip pans
- Flower pots, planters and saucers
- Rooftops, gutters and blocked drains
- Construction areas, tyres and scrap
- Water tanks: covered and sealed
- Fountains and ornamental ponds
Professional fumigation
Source removal is the most important step, but it isn't enough on its own. Scheduled indoor and outdoor spraying and fogging, especially before and during the monsoon, reduces adult mosquito populations. Choose a provider that uses responsible chemicals, trained technicians and gives a written report of every visit.
Keep records
For factories, hospitals and schools, written service reports are useful for audits and inspections and show that your organisation takes staff and student safety seriously. Mirach's pest control service includes a written report after every visit.
